This blog presents genealogical data and stories about the descendants of the Leigh families that came from England to Wales before 1560 AD. My name is Allen Leigh, and I am the great grandson of Samuel Leigh who emigrated to the USA from Wales in the mid 1850s. The information about these people has been provided by family members who either knew the people concerned or have family records that tell of these people.
I have a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and a master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. I am now retired from software development but have served as an Adjunct Instructor in Computer Science at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Allen, I'm Elaine's daughter Kathryn. From time to time the past ten years or so, I've felt pangs of conscience for not getting information to you about mom. What information are you looking for? dates? stories? everything? One of my favorite stories actually occurred the day after she passed away on her 87th birthday. I promise I won't drop the ball this time.
